Two persons were killed while others were kidnapped as bandits invaded Maradun town, the headquarters of Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

Sani whose house was among the houses ransacked by the bandits, expressed dismay over the high level of insecurity in the town.

"It was to my hearing the bandits boggled my parlour’s door and were coming towards my inner room when I managed to hide. My wives and children followed another passage and ran away to hide somewhere”, he added.

He expressed concern over the rampant attacks in the town.

“Even last week Friday similar attack was done in the town.”

Another resident, Hassan Ibrahim, lamented that the bandits were stationed at different locations with guns.

“When I heard their movement, I closed my door, crossed over the nearby wall, and ran for my dear life,” he said.
