Lagos Court Clears Former Bank PHB Boss, Francis Atuche of N25.7 Billion Fraud

Francis Atuche, a former Managing Director of the now defunct Bank PHB seems to be smiling big as a Lagos High Court in Ikeja clears his name off a lingering fraud allegation of N25.7 billion.

 
Francis Atuche, the former Managing Director of the now defunct Bank PHB seems to be smiling big as a Lagos High Court in Ikeja has cleared him of a lingering N25.7 billion  fraud allegation.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had instituted a 27-count charge including stealing and conspiracy against Mr. Atuche; his wife, Elizabeth; and the bank’s Chief Financial Officer, Ugo Anyanwu.

Judge Lateef Lawal-Akapo accused the EFCC of having no substantial evidence to prosecute him. More details are set to emanate from this dramatic event .
