The bodies of the well diggers have been taken to their hometown under strict monitoring by the police.
The lifeless bodies of two well diggers, Avade Clement and Achefon Edua, from the Republic of Benin, were recovered after they got stuck while digging a well in the Laderin area of Abeokuta South Local Government Area of Ogun State.
They were hired by one Akinsaya Ganiyu to work on his well located on his site, but the victims allegedly got stuck while doing the job on Monday, April 29.
Ganiyu reported the incident to the Divisional Police Officer in the area.
The DPO mobilised his men to the scene of the incident and recovered the victims. Sadly, they were declared dead at a hospital in Ijaiye.
