A University of Port Harcourt student has tragically died after men of the Nigerian Police used tear gas to dispatch students protesting in the school.

A man by the name, Edmond Akai has alleged that policemen killed an asthmatic student of the University of Port Harcourt during a recent protest.
The allegation was made via his twitter handle as he shared a picture of the girl. He wrote: "She died has (sic) a result of @uniport protest in which d @NigeriaPolice tear gas killed her.died of asthma. #lalemustgo"
