A really weird moment has been caught on camera when a woman with her baby girl fell off the car as her husband makes a sharp turn.

This is the shocking moment that a mother and her little child fall out of a car as it makes a sharp U-turn in the road.

As the footage shows the car was parked by the side of the road but quickly turns 180 degrees to drive off in the opposite direction. But midway through the manoeuvre, one of the back doors flies open and the woman and her child fall out and land in the road.

The car quickly stops and the driver, believed to be the woman's husband and the child's father, jumps out to help them.

The scene was caught on the dash cam of a fellow driver in the city of Sevastopol in south west Russia.

The clip sparked controversy when it was posted on the Russian social media website, VKontakte.

One user suggested the woman had accidentally leaned on the door handle as the car turned sharply in the road. But users slammed the parents for failing to ensure the youngster was secured in a child seat.

User Yaroslav said: "I think people should always lock the rear doors, regardless of whether it is children or adults sitting there", while another woman on social media user added: "And why isn't the baby in a child seat?"

It is believed the woman and the child escaped without suffering serious injuries.
