A woman who nearly pulled her husband's testicles out during a fight has ended her own life by strangling herself to death.
A woman has committed suicide in police cells after being arrested for attacking her hubby.
It was gathered that the Epworth woman identified as Anna Mugabe, 22, had earlier crushed her husband’s testicles after an altercation over marital issues not revealed which led to her arrest by the police. The hubby, Simeon Magasa, 32, is battling for his life at a hospital in Harare.
“I can confirm she committed suicide because of problems at their house which led to violence,” said national police spokesperson, Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba.
The woman used a blanket to end her life yesterday. Sources said the altercation before the suicide started at their home in Epworth, Kenya.
“At first the wife took an ax to try and attack the husband.The man managed to wrestle away the ax. But, the women then pulled his testicles with her hands until he was greatly injured,” said the source.
“He was taken to hospital before the matter was reported to the police.The woman was then arrested.”
