This is a throwback poster of President Muhammadu Buhari and Ali Modu Sheriff, an alleged Boko Haram sponsor currently the acting Chairman of the PDP in the year 2003 during their days in the All Nigeria People's Party, ANPP.
Nigerian politicians belong to the same circle. They have a long history together. Political interests have over time divided them among several political parties.
This is a 2003 throwback election poster of Buhari and Sheriff running for different public posts under the banner of the ANPP. Buhari ran unsuccessfully for presidency while Sheriff emerged as the winner of the gubernatorial election in Borno.
Fastforward to 2016, Buhari is the president of Nigeria under the ruling party while Sheriff is in the oppostion party, PDP working tirelessly in the zoning plan to unseat Buhari in 2019 which rumours emerging that is that he is strongly interested in bagging the presidential ticket of the PDP to run against Buhari if the president vies for the post again.
