As the world mourns the passing of one of its greatest artistes of all time, we take time to remember some of his stage antics.
Kim climbed the stage to meet with Prince and at first everything seemed to go fine for her
Kim Kardashian probably isn't used to being outshone by anyone.
But in 2011 at a concert in Madison Square Garden, Prince proved the Kardashians came nowhere near to the rock god when it comes to owning a room.
As Kim tottered on stage in a pair of huge stilettos and a skin-tight dress, Prince didn't seem impressed with the situation

Initially, things were going pretty well for Kim as she approached Prince, who doesn't seem too bothered in her being there at all.
Clapping her hands and flashing a huge grin, Kim was also out-sparkled by the musician, who wore a gold shimmering suit and matching heels.
But things quickly turn sour for Kim who is unaware she's about to get booted off stage in front of thousands.
Prince continues to wow the crowds with his amazing vocals and dance moves, all the while pretty uninterested in Kim awkwardly standing there.

But there's only so much Prince could take when it came to sharing the stage with the reality star, and soon decided it was time for her to leave.
Kim gets the message, and awkwardly vanishes from sight.
Embarrassingly for Kim, the crowd erupts into cheer at Prince's decision to kick her into the wings.
Prince continues his set by announcing 'Welcome to America'.
Kim opened-up about the awkward moment on Twitter, saying: "I was so nervous, I froze when Prince touched me."
And in a bid to redeem the situation, she posted another tweet reading: "Went up on stage AGAIN. This time I redeemed myself. We all played the piano while Prince danced. Wow. What a night."
Throughout his career, Prince became known for his on-stage antics , including tossing guitars into the crowd and performing in torrential rain at the half-time Super Bowl in 2007.
