The fire broke out at the Dangote Petroleum Refinery in the Lekki Free Zone in Lagos, Nigeria, on June 26, 2024. The blaze appeared at the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) of the Refinery, generating a thick dark smoke seen from a distance, causing panic and evacuation in the area.
During Sunday’s preaching, Pastor Odumeje who had earlier warned the businessman of an impending disaster stated that Dangote’s refusal to listen made him lose money.
The preacher insisted that Dangote’s pride and disbelief in his prophesy brought about a disaster that could have been avoided.
“If Dangote humbled himself to come here, that refinery would not burn. He will not spend that money; he is spending billions of dollars to repair the factory because of pride and looking down on a prophet,” he stated partly.
