Another occurrence of a bitter fight has reportedly taken place in the Benue State House of Assembly in the absence of Governor Samuel Ortom who was away on a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.

If the News reaching us from the Daily Post is anything to go by, its safe to say Nigerian leaders are not living by example.

The report shave it that a bitter fight ensued at the Benue State House of Assembly on Tuesday following the election of Barr Adanyi of the (APC Makurdi south) as Majority leader.

It was gathered that an opposition, Hon. Martins Aza (PDP Makurdi North) objected to Adanyi’s elections claiming that the PDP has 16 members in the house hence should have the majority leader.

The APC lawmakers rejected the PDP lawmaker’s claims and as words being traded were not enough, the two lawmakers decided to turn the house to a wrestling ring.

According to Daily Post,  the timely intervention of other lawmakers in the brawl stopped it from escalating.
