Saraki's Trial: Justice Danladi Umar Makes TWO Major Rules at the CCT

The Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal, Justice Umar presiding over the trial of Saraki over a 13-count charge of false declaration of assets has initiated two major rules that will guide the legal proceeding.

The trial of Senate President, Bukola Saraki at the Code of Conduct Tribunal resumed today with a change of rules and regulations during the case hearing for the purpose of orderliness.

CCT Chairman, Danladi Umar introduced 2 new rules to the trial . The rules are :

(1) Use of camera phones and iPads are now prohibited.
 
(2) All security men with rifles in the courtroom would henceforth stay outside the courtroom.
 
Rumours have it that the decision must have been arrived at to reduce the activities of pressmen saturating the online media with diverse reports during the legal proceeding especially the confrontation between the Judge and lawyer to Saraki, Oluyede which went viral on social media.
