Tanzanian hit maker, Diamond Platinumz, has said his latest collaboration with KCEE would be his last with any Nigerian singer because...
Call it sheer braggadocio and you won't be far from the truth as that is what Tanzanian star, Diamond Platinumz latest comment not to collaborate with Nigerian music acts on any song sounds like.
According to a report by Nigerian Entertainment Today (NET), the East African hit maker told Cloud FM that his "last collabo would be KCEE and after that, no more (working with) Nigerians". The duo recently released a song 'Love Boat'.
While it is not in doubt that artistes such as Waje, Bracket, Psquare, Davido, Iyanya and KCEE, have been able to expand their fan base in East Africa as a result of collaborating with the 'Number One' singer, it is foolhardy to believe Nigerian music acts need the Tanzanian more than they need him.
But he justified his decision not to feature on any Nigerian artiste's song saying "This is to avoid any monotony in his music and that he has achieved the goal of penetrating his music into Nigeria".
