The pastor was ambushed by armed robbers reportedly acting on information. He was robbed of N3 million after which he was shot dead.
A pastor of the Lord's Chosen Church Charismatic Revival Ministries has been shot and killed by unknown gunmen.
According to reports from Punch, the pastor, Chukwuemeka Okpokpo was assailed by his attackers after he had gone to the bank to make a N3million withdrawal on behalf of the church.
Witnesses say Okpokpo's car was stopped by the gunmen who crossed him with their motorbike, shot him and and left with the nylon bag containing the money he was carrying.
Reports also say that the pastor died instantly on the spot before he could be rushed to the hospital.
The Lagos State Police Command said it had begun investigation into the murder.
Okpokpo’s body has been taken to his home town in Amizi, Ikwuano Local Government Area of Umuahia of Abia
