Against the backdrop of possible face-off, President Mohammedu Buhari has appointed Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike into the National Salary Committee
There are indications that series of reactions may trail President Buhari's appointment of Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike as a member of the National Salary Committee.
In a meeting which took place between the president and the governors at the Presidential Villa on Tuesday, June 24, Wike, a member of the oppossing Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was appointed into the committee which the president inuagurated.
The governor was reportedly in Abuja with President Buhari alongside other governors for an undisclosed discussion. Although full details of the meeting are not yet known, it was confirmed that Wike was appointed by the president as a member of the committee to look into the issue of salaries’ in the country.
