If the report on The Cable is to go by, Governor of Zamfara state and Chairman of the Governors’ forum, Abdulazeez Yari, has revealed a reversal of the order by President Muhammadu Buhari on his decision to remove all the military checkpoints in Nigeria.

In an address with a correspondent of The Cable, yesterday, Tuesday, 23rd of June, 2015, He (Yari) claimed the order was pre-mature due to the poor security state of the Nigeria.

“But Mr. President cited some incidents that happened at the military checkpoints but where necessary, he has given the chief of army staff the permission that they can continue especially in the north, south-east and the frontline states”,
Yari stated.

Furthermore, he claimed that there are moves to estimate the infrastructural damage done by the menace of Boko Haram insurgency in the northern part of Nigeria for the purpose of rebuilding. He also made a commitment that President Muhammadu Buhari will not request money from any G7 country but support to rebuild the destroyed infrastructure.
