A man who stabbed his friend to death during a heated argument over a football match, has been sentenced to death.
At the High Court sitting in Kano today, a man identified as Kabiru Sani who stabbed his friend to death during a heated argument over a football match in 2011, was sentenced to death.
The court found Kabiru Sani of Brigade Quarters, Nasarawa Local Government Area of the state, guilty after years of trial.
Justice Faruk Lawan said Kabiru's act contravened Section 221 (2) of the Penal Code and that he was guilty as charged.
He sentenced him to death by hanging.
