IG Deploys 2 Helicopters in Ogun State to Search for Kidnapped Sen. Iyabo Anisulowo

The Inspector General of Police has ordered the immediate use of two police helicopters to locate and find the kidnapped Sen. Iyabo Anisulowo in Ogun State.

 
The Inspector-General of Police, Solomon Arase, has deployed two helicopters in Ogun State, to search and find the kidnapped Sen. Iyabo Anisolowo within the Ilaro-Imasayi-Igbogila and border areas.
 
The senator who represented Ogun West Senatorial District at the Senate between 2003 and 2007, was kidnapped by some armed gunmen along Sawonjo-Imasayi Road last Wednesday, while returning from her farm.
 
Revealing more details, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, said the helicopters have been patrolling suspected kidnappers’ dens in various areas within the state, with search parties including the Assistant Inspector -General of Police in charge of Zone 2, Bala Hassan, and the state Commissioner of Police,  Abdulmajid Ali.
 
Adejobi assured residents that the kidnapped senator “will soon be rescued unhurt and the culprits apprehended as every officer of the command and members of the search teams have been having sleepless nights since the day of the incident.”
 
Ali, who appreciated the IG for his support towards the rescue of the victim, commended other security agencies, search teams and members of the public, for their support.
