President Muhammadu Buhari is not ready to take a break until the menance of Boko haram becomes history. He will leave for Cameroon after Ramadan to have talks with neighbouring countries on the challenges of border security.
President Muhammadu Buhari seems to be keeping to one of his campaign promises of putting an end to insurgency in the country. He is scheduled to leave Nigeria for Cameroon after Ramadan to hold strategic security talks with neighbouring countries.
Buhari was invited by President Paul Biya of Cameroon to talk about the intensification of cooperation between Nigeria and neighbouring countries in the war against Boko Haram and terrorism.
The invitation was brought by the Cameroonian Minister of Territorial Administration and Decentralization, Sadi Emmanuel and Buhari revealed he would head to the neighbouring country as soon as the Ramadan fast ends.
President Buhari is exploiting his intelligence and wealth of experience as an ex soldier to cripple the cross-border advantages the insurgents are enjoying.
It would be noted that the combined efforts of Niger, Cameroon and Chad has been very instrumental in curbing the scourge of Boko Haram insurgency in the country. A proposed intensification of the pact is tipped to end the security crisis in the region.
