Bode George and Tinubu have a historical feud they have refused to settle over the years. The PDP Chieftain seized the golden opportunity of crisis in APC to attack him.
From all indications, the bitter rivalry between the National Leader of the All Progressive Congress, Bola Tinubu and a national leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, Bode George is far from being over.
As Tinubu's feathers in APC are being severely clipped, Bode George has added salt to his fresh injury by calling him a "joker" if he feels he can boast of a full control of the South West region. He mocked his poor knowledge of Yoruba history.
According to the PDP Chieftain Bode George, “Tinubu is not a selfless leader. All he has done is to remain in his cocoon in Lagos. What is his national value? He has become powerful and that was why he was able to determine who becomes governor and who emerges the speaker of the House of Assembly. He wanted to take that system to the national level but failed.
“What was he going to bring to the South-West? The PDP is still very strong in the South-West. If Tinubu thinks he has full control of the Yoruba race, then he is a joker and he doesn’t know the history of the Yoruba people.
He then schooled Tinubu on a brief history of development in the South West. According to him, development in Nigeria started from the South West with the Yorubas debuting as the pioneers in major fields in the country like law, medicine, accounting and religion. The Yoruba women also did the tribe proud.
“The first Senior Advocates of Nigeria and the first Anglican bishop were Yoruba, therefore nobody can lead the Yoruba blindly. I can tell you that even without Tinubu, the Yoruba cannot be marginalised or made to suffer,” he reiterated.
He cautioned Tinubu on his obnoxious ambition to amass power in the APC circle claiming the party could become a thing of the past after his death.
He ended his critisms by taking a swipe at Akande and APC's party chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun who has bowed to the strong influence of Tinubu in the party, thereby living on his lies.
