A church minister who is a highly revered man in his church has soiled his good name after defiling a young girl.
The 80-year-old church minister has been arrested by the Peki Police in the Volta region, Ghana for allegedly defiling a 15-year-old girl.
The suspect, Patrick Komla Agordzo, with the EP Church at Peki Dzake in the South Dayi district reportedly defiled the young teenager in his room.
He is believed to have carried out the alleged act on the girl when she was sent on an errand to him by her grandmother last month.
According to Starr News, an anonymous source who disclosed the incident said the victim who is a primary five pupil revealed the suspect had s*x with her and threatened to kill her with a machete, should she disclose the ordeal to anyone.
The source said the victim was seen quite nervous coming out from the octogenarian’s room on that fateful day by the daughter of the man.
According to Starr the family of the girl did not make trouble but wants the issue to be settled at the family level.
The source claimed, “since the incident, they only asked the man for GHc 50 to take the girl to the hospital to check if she is pregnant or not.”
The Peki district Police commander, DSP Mattew Asante, who led his men to arrest the Presbyter said a medical form has been issued to the victim to attend hospital while his outfit investigates the case.
