How Ikorodu Bank Robbers Burnt Vehicles To Create Distractions For Their Escape (PHOTOS)

The Ikorodu bank robbery operation was dominated by fierce, young armed robbers.They reportedly burnt three vehicles to create a distraction in front of Origin Gardens, a recreational place not far from the scene of the heinous crime.

As the Ikorodu residents recover from the shock of the ill-fated bank robbery incidents, losses are being counted, as exotic vehicles were reportedly burnt by the robbers in order to create distractions for thier escape.
  
According to reports, one of the owners of the garden close to the scene of the event (name withheld), whose car was burnt alongside the three jeeps, described the incident as a really shocking one.

“Nobody is ready to talk to you right now because we are all in shock. My car was burnt and I could not face the people. Don’t ask me how they escaped, why didn’t you come here when the robbery was going on?” he lamented

Meanwhile, the armoured tank which the policemen used to stage a pursuit of the robbers was ridden with bullets.
 

The state’s Commissioner of Police (CP), Kayode Aderanti who was at the scene of the robbery operation, has assured the Ikorodu residents and the general public that the perpetrators of the crime will be brought to book shortly.
 

Ikorodu residents expressed disgust at the Policemen in the area who couldn't respond promptly throughout the 2-hour robbery operation.

Currently, no fewer than 20 police vans are patrolling the area to reassure the residents of the safety of their lives and properties.
