Suicidal Lagos Man Who Climbed Pole Abandoned by Police After His Refusal to Come Down (Photos)

A suicidal man who climbed an electric pole to commit suicide in Lagos today, has refused all necessary help to rescue him as Police and other agencies has reportedly left the scene.

 
A Lagos man who climbed an electric pole since 7:00am in the Lekki area of the Island metropolis, has been reportedly abandoned after all efforts to resue him proved futile as the man said he can only come down if N5million is provided for him.
 
According to Twitter user, Ken Egbas, who has been live-tweeting from the scene of the incident,  the man's had refused to climb down or safely jump unto the trampoline provided. It was later deflated and officials from PHCN, Fire Service and also the Nigerian Police were forced to leave the scene, leaving him to his faith.
