Nigerian Military Rescues 300 Cows and 62 Civilians from Sambisa Forest

The military has revealed that it has rescued more than 300 cows and sixty-two civilians during their ongoing military operations in the Sambisa forest in Borno State.

While briefing journalists on their operation in Sambisa forest, the Theater Commander of Operation Lafia Dole, Major General Lucky Irabor, disclosed that the military has rescued more than 300 cows and sixty-two civilians during their ongoing military operations in the Sambisa forest in Borno State.
 
"In the last few days over 300 herds of cattle have been recovered and thirteen insurgents killed," Irabor said.
 
He added that, "we have recovered 34 children and 28 women at the different locations (in Sambisa forest) during our operation."
 
The troops destroyed operations hospital belonging to Boko Haram, as well as four of their camps. 
 
According to Irabor a bomb factory was destroyed by the troops. "I can confidently tell you that we are making progress in Sambisa, we are moving throughout the Sambisa forest. During the latest operations some of our soldiers were wounded but are in stable condition."
