A woman has been left terribly terrified after her ex-boyfriend posted a picture of himself wielding a knife and threatening to butcher her.
Mark Boucher
A girl was left terrified after an obsessed thug posted a picture of himself with a huge serrated knife and threatened to "butcher" her to death.
It was gathered that Mark Boucher bombarded Jazmine McGraw with hundreds of texts and images and made a series of vile threats after she dumbed him.
The evil man caused her to be in terrible fear after he threatened to butcher her. He appeared before a Dundee Sheriff Court.
The suspect emotionally assaulted and threatened her for months. Boucher told Ms McGraw that he would “butcher” her and sent her hundreds of other texts and images - one of which contained a hammer.
The resident even turned up outside a house where she was staying and shone the headlights of his car at her through a window.
Fiscal depute Vicki Bell said: “Since the separation, the complainer has received hundreds of text messages from the accused of an abusive nature and threatening to butcher her.
“He had posted threats of a similar nature on Facebook and he was posting pictures of knives and a hammer.
“He also posted a picture of his front door barricaded, saying this is what the police would find when they came to get him.”
Boucher turned up to where Ms McGraw was staying one night and parked outside with the headlights of his car shining in the living room for a number of minutes.
Ms Bell added: “The complainer is fearful of the accused and started to notice him turning up at various locations unannounced. On January 14 the complainer attended her mother’s address to stay the day with her and to stay overnight. A friend of the complainer was in the living room of the locus which looks out on to the street. She saw a vehicle appear and she recognised it as belonging to the accused.
“She shouted for the complainer who also saw the vehicle, which was parked in a way where it was facing directly at the living room window with the headlights on. They were turned off in a couple of minutes.
“He then put the headlights back on and drove off.”
It was also gathered that Boucher, of Ballochmyle Drive, Dundee, later returned outside the ex-girlfriend's house and threw a children’s buggy at it before shouting and swearing.
Ms Bell said Boucher was “irate” when he realised that Ms McGraw wasn’t at the house, adding: “She heard a car screech to a halt and he threw the buggy towards the mother’s house. She couldn’t understand most of what he was saying as he was shouting very quickly but she did hear that he called her a traitor.”
The offence took place between December 11 last year and January 15. He was ordered to do 80 hours’ unpaid work and a supervision order was imposed.
