Nonso Diobi, the popular Nollywood actor, has shared the story of how his resemblance with veteran actress, Hilda Dokubo helped him secure his first major break in the movie industry.

Speaking in a recent episode of the ‘Nollywood Hardcore’ podcast, Diobi said: “Back to the story of how I got my first movie role. I was at an audition and I started hearing people calling me from afar. I approached. Before I could get close to them, Hilda Dokubo said, ‘This young boy looks like me. He can play my brother.’
“That was how I finally got my first role after three years and more than 1000 auditions. I didn’t even audition for it.”
