A resident of the area said the bandits have not contacted the families of the victims for ransom payment.
12 people have been abducted while two others were injured after armed bandits carried out two separate attacks in Funtua and Dandume local government areas of Katsina State.
In Unguwar Dahiru, Funtua LGA, the bandits injured two people and abducted at least ten, including men and women.
It was also learnt that hours earlier, bandits blocked a road near Jarumai in Dandume LGA, kidnapping two travellers and moved away with their motorcycles.
A resident of Unguwar Dahiru, Bala Ishiaku, who spoke with DAILY POST on telephone, said the bandits have not contacted the families of the victims for ransom payment.
According to him, the people of the area have been living in fear, while many have deserted the area as everyone is afraid that the bandits may return for another operation.
