Nollywood actor Etim Effiong has discussed his relationship with female admirers while celebrating his 7th wedding anniversary with his wife, Toyosi.
While reflecting on their relationship and personal growth, the couple revisited a conversation they had seven years ago.
Toyosi asked her husband a tough but familiar question: “Do you have measures in place to safeguard yourself from the wildness and craziness?”
Etim responded thoughtfully, sharing how he has matured in managing such situations over the years.
“The simple answer to the question is I have measures in place, and I have always had measures in place. I guess the toolbox is getting better measures as I grow,” he said.
The actor highlighted the importance of boundaries and self-awareness in dealing with his “saviour complex.”
He explained, “I’ve learned to have boundaries in place and how to deal with my saviour complex. I cannot be there to save everyone who needs help; I cannot be their emotional support, the love of their lives, and their saviour. As I grow older, I have been able to handle this.”
His wife was overjoyed with her husband's response.
