Anti-graft agency, the EFCC has today secured a remand warrant that may see them hold embattled Femi Fani-Kayode in detention for a long time.

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode will still have more time to spend in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission as the agency has secured a remand warrant to further detain him over the receipt of public funds to the tune of N840 million out of the N4 billion payout in the heat of the presidential election last year.
The remand warrant was secured today to enable the anti-graft agency to keep the former minister beyond the stipulated time allowed by law.
According to the EFCC, the move is to help the agency conduct proper investigation into how he got the money, what it was used for and who the beneficiaries are.
