Borno Government Laughs Off The Appointment Of Chibok Principal As Commissioner

Borno state government has laughed off the reports of the nomination of Chibok school principal for the post of the Commissioner for Education in the state.

 
The rumours of the nomination of Chibok school’s principal Asabe Kwambura for the highest post in the educational system of Borno state hit the news media but the Borno state government have moved to swiftly dispel the rumours which it has described as a joke.
 
This was reavealed in a statement by the Borno state Governor Kashim Shettima's Spokesman Isa Gusau.He described the rumour as an information that is capable of denting the Governor's image in the state as well as the country as a whole.

“In the last one week, we have noticed a very strange information being circulated by some online media platforms claiming that governor Kashim Shettima of Borno state had nominated Asabe Kwambura, principal of government secondary school, Chibok for the post of commissioner for education” – told Isa Gusau, adding that it can be “nothing more than a joke that should only be told during comedy shows to entertain audience.” He revealed.

According to him, the rumours were firstly ignored but after its prominence on the social media, there was a need to issue an official statement.
