Pioneer Anglican Bishop of Lagos Mainland and retired Archbishop of Lagos Province, Most Rev. Adebayo Akinde, has lost his wife, Dr Bassey Akinde.
She d!ed at the weekend in a Lagos hospital at the age of 77.
The Lagos Mainland Anglican Communion Synod Secretary, Rev. Canon Adesanya Asaolu, confirmed the de.ath in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria.
The deceased, a retired academic, obtained a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun, and a Master of Philosophy from Sussex University, United Kingdom.
She was a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Pharmacy, OAU.
She is survived by her husband, three sons and several grandchildren.
