Today's plenary session in the House of Representatives has been disrupted by members who got into intense arguments and squabbles.
Trouble started when the Speaker of the House, Yakubu Dogara attempted to appoint principal officers for the House which resulted to clashes between members loyal to Dogara and members loyal to the decision of the APC in nominating principal officers.
While pro-APC members chanted “on party supremacy we stand”, pro- Dogara members chanted “Dogara”
Reports say some members attempted to make away with the mace but were prevented by others which resulted in a brawl among the lawmakers.
NTA confirmed the incident in the tweets above.
