An elderly man has brutally engaged another man in a violent fight before stabbing him to death with a knife.
An 80-year-old herder has brutally stabbed another 80-year-old man to death over a protracted land dispute in the Naivasha area of Kenya.
The man, 84, died after he was stabbed three times in the chest by the suspect who has since been arrested. The duo reportedly engaged in a heated exchange before the suspect whipped out a knife and stabbed the victim, Standard Kenya reports.
Speaking about the sad incident, a relative of the dead man, Peter Karatina said members of the two families had been involved in a protracted land dispute leading to a fall out. He said during the dispute period, several herd of cattle and sheep had been killed as the families fought over the parcel of land.
“The suspect, who is a well-known person in this village, whipped out a knife and stabbed my uncle three times before fleeing back to his house,” he said.
Residents rushed the man to the hospital trying to save his life, but he was confirmed dead. The suspect has since been arrested and will soon be charged to court after investigation is concluded.
