According to security sources, the suspects and the recovered arms and ammunition are in custody for further investigation.
Two suspected militias, identified as Innocent Nanpan (20) and Sebastine Samuel (20), have been arrested by troops of Operation Safe Haven in Angwan Mata, Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The arrested suspects were found in possession of a fabricated rifle and four cartridges.
Intelligence sources told security analyst, Zagazola Makama that the operation, conducted on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at about 11:10 AM, followed credible intelligence on the activities of armed groups of Mwaghavul origin in the area.
