The press statement revealed that during interrogation, one of the suspects, Patrick, stated that his uncle, Osunta Oko, had asked him to acquire a human skull.
Three men have been arrested by operatives of the Imo State Police Command.
The men were paraded after they were caught with a human skull in Okigwe Local Government Area of the state.
The arrest of the suspects, according to the spokesperson of the command, DSP Henry Okoye, was informed in a press statement. He stated that the Okigwe Divisional Police Headquarters, in collaboration with residents of Ogii community, effected the apprehension of the suspects, who, upon their arrest, were found to be in possession of a human skull, a native hen, and white garments.
The three individuals arrested were 29-year-old Patrick Okoere, 28-year-old Ifeanyichukwu Anyaemeka, and 20-year-old Chukwuemeka Onyekachi, who are currently under investigation.

He claimed to have found it along a riverbank on the Okigwe-Umuahia Expressway, an area where the command has received reports of kidnappings.
The police spokesperson hinted that the command is actively pursuing one Osunta Oko and other possible accomplices in connection with the incident.
He further revealed that a DNA analysis is underway to determine the identity of the skull’s owner.
Reacting to the development, the State Police Commissioner, CP Aboki Danjuma, reassured the public of the command’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the safety and security of all residents.
He emphasised that justice will be served and that the suspects will face prosecution upon completion of the investigation, assuring that the command will provide further updates as the investigation unfolds.
