The deceased’s husband, Onyekachi Eze, in a video on social media, was accompanied to the Imo Police Command by popular Nollywood producer, Stanley Ontop, to report the incident on Tuesday.

A pregnant woman has died after a doctor reportedly performed a Cesarean Section, CS, on her with the help of a YouTube video in Imo State.

This was made public in a post shared by Nollywood producer, Stanley Ontop.

The deceased’s husband, Onyekachi Eze in the video shared the sad story on Tuesday.

Eze disclosed that the incident happened at Lebechi Hospital in Owerri, the Imo State capital.

Narrating the incident, Eze said, “I carried my wife to the hospital when she was in labor, and the doctor said she needed to undergo an operation because she was bleeding.

“So the female doctor called another doctor to come and operate on her. Right in my presence, they were using their phones to watch a YouTube video on how to perform surgery, and I lost my wife and my baby during the process.”

Shortly after the report, Stanley shared an updated video showing how the owner of the hospital was arrested by the police after the doctors absconded.

Captioning the video, he wrote, “The owner of the hospital where doctors were watching YouTube on how to perform surgery on a pregnant woman has been arrested. Nurses were arrested too, but the doctors who performed the surgery had absconded. They are still being searched for.”
