The political commentator mentioned that looking at the young brides who were given out at the mass wedding, he is reminded that "the most successful marriages on this planet are arranged marriages".

Former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri has thrown his weight behing the Kano State Government over the sum it budgeted for mass weddings in the state.

The political commentator mentioned that looking at the young brides who were given out at the mass wedding, he is reminded that "the most successful marriages on this planet are arranged marriages".

He went on to state the girls who are married should be left alone because, according to him, his investigation “established that none of the women involved are underage.”

"If fornication is your culture, it is all well and good for you. In Kano, they prefer legal nuptials before intercourse,"
he added.

Then, defending the Kano State Government for spending an exorbitant sum on the wedding, Reno claimed that Kano is building schools at a rate faster than any other state in the south, other than southwest states.

He added: "If they decide to spend N2.5illion on mass weddings after spending N25 billion on education in 2024 alone menene matsalar (what's the matter)? To each their own. There should be no judgment."
