Controversial street artiste, Portable has reacted after critics stated that he would turn against British-Nigerian rapper Skepta, whom he collaborated with last year on a hit track.
Portable had previously criticized Olamide, his former helper, for allegedly favoring Asake over him.
However, during an Instagram live session, Portable made it clear that his situation with Skepta is entirely different.
He praised Skepta for being a genuine helper, stating that Skepta has significantly impacted his life and career.
Portable credited Skepta with introducing him to new opportunities, connecting him with influential people, and providing financial support.
Portable emphasized that he would never betray Skepta’s trust, warning critics not to misinterpret his words and jeopardize their relationship.
He clarified that his issue with Olamide stemmed from feelings of undervaluation and disappointment, not a desire to betray him.
He said: “I say make Olamide sign me back then, why Olamide no sign me? Why he no believe in me? My helper? Na wetin pain me be dat. I only believe in him. He helped a lot of people , if he told me to sign a contract, I would have signed it, that’s what I’m saying.”
