Precious Chidozie James, a fresh graduate of Petrochemical Engineering from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, in Owaza, Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State, has been killed by gunmen.
It was gathered that Chidozie, who was preparing for the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, was sh0t d3ad while accompanying his elder brother, Enyeribe James, on a night patrol on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 2:15 am.
Enyeribe is the head of the Ukwa East/Ukwa West anti-bunkering task force of the Independent Petroleum Marketers of Nigeria (IPMAN).
According to eyewitnesses, the assailants emerged from the bush and opened fire on their vehicles, k!lling Chidozie while his brother managed to escape into the bush.
Police officers from the Obehie Police station, led by DSP Ibrahim, arrived the scene at approximately 9:35 am and evacuated the corpse.
