Reacting to the video, the man who spoke on a radio program, opined that the lecturer shouldn’t have touched Precious when he asked her to excuse him while walking through the school corridor.
A Nigerian man has reacted to the brawl between a female student of UNIZIK, Precious Mbakwe, and a male lecturer, Prof Chukwudi Okoye.
He stated that the lecturer was in the wrong for touching her which triggered the student.
Recall that the drama between Precious started when the student was dancing in a corridor in her department and the lecturer who needed to pass, tapped her and said, "Excuse me."
She made a snide remark and when he walked back to confront her and also confiscate her phone, she went physical on him.
Reacting to the video, the man who spoke on a radio program, opined that the lecturer shouldn’t have touched Precious when he asked her to excuse him while walking through the school corridor.
He believed that the lecturer's act of touching Precious, triggered her reaction.
‘’He didn't behave like a lecturer. You could say excuse me without touching people, especially you know…that's not a male that you are touching. That's a female. And you are supposed to be like her teacher. You are supposed to be High up there. You are not supposed to touch. That was the beginning of the whole problem. The touch was the beginning of the whole problem. ''
He argued that Nigerians are used to touching people even when they use the word ‘’excuse me.”
‘’What then is the meaning of excuse me?''
