FRSC Confirms Death Toll Rises To 16 In Kano Trailer Accident

According to Abdullahi, the crash was caused by excessive speed, which led the driver to lose control of the vehicle.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed that the death toll from the recent trailer accident in Kano has increased to 16.

The Public Relations Officer of the FRSC Kano State Command, Abdullahi Labaran, disclosed this in a statement on Friday. He explained that the accident occurred on Thursday night at the Muhammadu Buhari flyover in the Hotoro area of Kano.

According to Abdullahi, the crash was caused by excessive speed, which led the driver to lose control of the vehicle.

Daily Post had reported that the trailer was carrying 71 passengers at the time of the accident. Sixteen people died, while 52 others sustained injuries.

The injured victims have been taken to the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital for medical attention.
