A popular Turkish OnlyFans star, Merve Taskin has been placed under house arrest after offering to spend Valentine's Night with a fan for £9,000.
The 27-year-old influencer posted an advertisement on X to her 124,000 followers, offering a Valentine’s Day dinner date for the hefty sum, which she described as a "girlfriend" experience. The post included enticing descriptions of her personality and physical assets, along with bonuses, warning fans not to fall in love with her.
Her post quickly went viral, and she was subsequently arrested on February 14 and accused of offering “obscene services.” On February 15, judges at Caglayan Court decided to place Taskin under house arrest while her phone and social media accounts are investigated.
In her social media posts following her arrest, Taskin recounted her experience of spending a night in a detention cell with local pr0stitutes, expressing disbelief about her situation. She had previously been sentenced to five months in prison in 2021 for posting explicit photos from her holiday in Amsterdam.
Taskin’s arrest follows public outcry after her controversial post, and she now faces legal scrutiny over her online activities.
