The police have assured that efforts were ongoing to rescue the victims and arrest the abductors.
A 22-year-old woman, Fatima Bello, and her three-year-old daughter, Nana Unaisa, have been abducted by gunmen in Malikawa Sarari, Bichi Local Government Area of Kano State.
According to a report from the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Bichi, six armed assailants stormed the residence of Bello Murtala at about 9:00 p.m. on February 19, 2025, firing shots into the air before whisking his wife and daughter away on motorcycles.
A police patrol team led by the DPO responded to the distress call, but the kidnappers had already fled before their arrival.
