After being questioned by police, the maid finally admitted that she took the money to her pastor, who promised to help find the children and kept demanding more money for prayers.

A woman, Amaka Bu Afam has narrated the event that transpired after her maid's three children were abducted in Rivers State.

The woman took to Facebook to explain that she gave her maid – a single mother – money to file a complaint at the police station on the same day her children were kidnapped.

Amaka, a project manager, also went to radio stations in Rivers State to ask that a missing persons' announcement be made.

Her maid returned the following day to ask for more money, claiming the police are asking for it to find the children and the woman gave her maid the money.

However, when she went to the police station for an update on the case, they were told no complaint was filed.

The maid insisted that she did but after being questioned by police, she finally admitted that she took the money to her pastor, who promised to help find the children and kept demanding more money for prayers.

This meant that a search for the children could not start early, thereby jeopardising any chance of finding them.

The children have still not been found and the maid has now become pregnant again.

Read the project manager's narration of the incident below.
