Three Teachers And Six Pupils Injured In Ibadan Auto Crash

The accident occurred when a vehicle transporting students from Zenith Group of Schools, Akeyo, Muslim area of Ibadan, for an excursion, suffered brake failure, tumbled and veered onto the other side of the road.

Three teachers and six school students sustained varying injuries in a ghastly accident along the Akala Expressway area in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The accident occurred in the early hours of Friday, February 28, 2025, when a vehicle transporting students from Zenith Group of Schools, Akeyo, Muslim area of Ibadan, for an excursion, suffered brake failure, tumbled and veered onto the other side of the road.

According to one of the pupils, the school owner was also in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

According to the Nigerian Tribune, more than 20 students were on board, heading to the Railway Station in Omi, Ibadan, for the excursion.

Emergency responders, including operatives of the Nigeria Police Force and the Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority (OYRTMA) arrived at the scene, and the injured victims were taken to a hospital for medical attention.

The other pupils were also taken to Kuola Divisional Headquarters of the Nigerian Police in Ibadan.
