According to the PPRO, a group of six armed men broke into the victim’s house through the fence, at around 2:00 a.m. on February 25, 2025, and robbed him of some amount of money before taking him to an unknown destination.
A man identified as Habibu Yakubu has been killed by gunmen at Mai Unguwan, Sayyadi Lano, Yamaltu-Deba Local Government Area of Gombe State.
Spokesperson of the command, DSP Buhari Abdullahi, who confirmed the incident in a statement on Sunday, March 1, 2025 said the gunmen abducted one other person.

“One person, Habibu Yakubu, was shot in the head by the assailants and later pronounced d3ad,” he said.
"The police are working tirelessly to ensure the safe return of the kidnapped victim and to bring the perpetrators to justice.
“We urge anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist the police in their investigation.”
