A product designer has advised against expecting one's partner to do the things they struggle to do for themselves.

However, he said it is unfair to now hand over those responsibilities to one's spouse just because you are married to them.
He wrote: "It’s so f*cking hard to take care of yourself - cook, clean, market runs, etc., but you’ve to do it because you’re an adult.
"It’s unfair to offload all your burdens onto someone else (who’s got their own life as well) simply because you married them."
