A young woman, Chinagorom Lucy Eze, who was brutally r@ped and m8rdered by unknown assailants in Asaba, Delta State has been buried amid tears.

Chinagorom was found d3ad in her apartment on January 5, 2025 after being declared missing.
It was gathered that the assailants came into her room through the roof, r@ped, tortured and k!lled her.
The graduate of Biochemistry, Michael Okpara University had mobilized for the January 2025 batch NYSC before her untimely d3ath.
Human rights activist and Senior Special Assistant on Civil Society and Youth Mobilisation to the Delta State Governor, Harrison Gwamnishu, disclosed that the body was discovered by her colleague.
According to him, the deceased was absent from work without communication and the management of her workplace sent someone to her residence to find out about her absence.
The colleague found the door of the apartment locked, which prompted the co-worker to peep through the window.
The co-worker raised the alarm after seeing the lifeless body of Lucy, which drew attention to the scene.
“Upon investigation, it was discovered that there were marks on her body, her finger was cut with a knife and her hair was scattered on the floor which showed that she struggled,” Gwamnishu stated.
