One family member, Dakum Kopnam Katlong, in a Facebook post on Thursday, March 6, 2025, called on the state government to check the activities of quack doctors and hospitals.
Family members are mourning the loss of 37-year-old Nandi Abraham, who tragically died after childbirth, allegedly due to the actions of an unqualified doctor in Plateau State.
One family member, Dakum Kopnam Katlong, in a Facebook post on Thursday, March 6, 2025, called on the state government to check the activities of quack doctors and hospitals.
“It's high time the state ministry of health, human rights and other organisations do something about its child mortality d3ath in the hands of some quack private hospitals with quack doctors,” he wrote.
Another sibling, Lekyes Titus Dakum, alleged that an unqualified doctor ended his sister's life.
"Really wish I could turn back the hands of time. Since the demise of our parents about 21 to 23 years. The five of us are always together, seeing to the growth & success of each other & to the Glory of God, we are all doing well & happy for each other, until yesterday that the whole world crashed on us.
"From five (5) of us, to (4), U left us in pain after giving birth. Any time I go towards the road side, tears drops from my eyes. The Dr that don't know his work decides to end Ur life. RIP MY LOVING SISTER."
