Nigerian Police Arrest Four Bandits, Recover Cache Of Weapons, Cash In Kano

The Kano State Police Command has arrested four suspected bandits and seized a cache of weapons and cash during a targeted operation.

The operation was led by the Officer-in-Charge of the Jarkuka Outpost, who coordinated the arrest of the suspects identified as Shukurana Salihu, 25; Rabi’u Dahiru, 35; Ya’u Idris, 30; all from Katsina State; and Muktar Sani, a resident of Yandodo Hotoro Quarters in Kano State.

According to the report, the police recovered a significant arsenal from the suspects, during the operation, including three locally made revolver pistols, two cutlasses, twelve live ammunition of various calibers, three cartridges, four knives, four mobile phones, twenty-four pellets, and a vigilante group identity card.

The recovery of the items underscored the potential threat posed by the suspects to the safety and security of the region.

According to sources within the Kano State Police Command, the arrests are part of intensified efforts to combat criminal activities in the state.

In a related development, the Command recently arrested three suspected car thieves and recovered two stolen vehicles, further demonstrating its commitment to tackling crime.

The suspects are currently in police custody, and investigations are ongoing.

Upon completion of the investigation, they would be charged to court to face the full weight of the law.

The Kano State Police Command urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities, reaffirming its dedication to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens.
