Kogi Former Deputy Governor, Patrick Adaba Is Dead

According to the information, the former Deputy Governor died following a protracted illness.


A former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief Patrick Adaba, has died at the age of 79.

A close family source disclosed the news of his demise to Dailypost.

According to the information, the former Deputy Governor died following a protracted illness.

Adaba was born in 1946.

After his secondary school, he gained admission into the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he graduated in 1971 with Bachelor of Art in History and Political Science and a combined graduate certificate of education.

Adaba worked in various places before he was appointed Secretary to the State Government under Prince Abubakar Audu’s first tenure as governor of Kogi State.

He was in 2003 elected Deputy Governor in a joint ticket that returned Prince Abubakar Audu back to Lugard House as Governor of the state.
